10 years ago I worked in Portland. I use to go to Punky's 3 or 4 times a week The specials were awesome! I ate lunch there on 3/1/19 and I have to say that the pepperoni chicken was absolutely delicious!

BEST MAC AND CHEESE! I am a true Mac and Cheese expert, and this stuff was 10/10. So cheesy and salty and gooey. Amazing.

This is a fantastic local sandwich shop that has been a lunch staple in the Portland community for a long time. They do sandwiches, wraps, and more including daily casseroles. They have a good amount of table space to dine in. The staff is friendly and well trained at what they do. The owner is really nice and frequently on location working hard with his crew. Stop in. I suggest you try the thanksgiving sub, a chicken salad sub, or a casserole of the day.

Awesome little shop with fantastic food. Whether you are in need of a quick breakfast( I can't recommend the steak sandwich enough) or a delicious homestyle lunch Punky's is an excellent choice. Friendly staff and fast fresh homemade food.

If you want quick food that's not fast food, this IS the place. Delicious home style ready to go dishes. Have had everything they make and I would have it all again. Beef Stroganoff is my favorite though.

Just tried this place for a takeout lunch for the first time. I had always been creeped out by the buiilding/sign in the past...1. Got a delicious Turkey Italian loaded with meat and ingredients - Loved it!2. I craved something sweet so I grabbed one of their homemade brownies from the fridge. - Wow. Extremely delicious.3. Grabbed an orange and some Salt and vinegar chips as well which was convenient.Great quick friendly service as well.

The burger I had was one of the best burgers I've ever had from a store/fast food establishment. It wasn't big but delicious.

Convenient. Store hours slightly limited. Good selection. Anyone can find something theyll like any given day as long as you get there early enough.

The food, prices, and convenience is great but the availability is obnoxious it feels like they are closed more often than open. 80% of the time I go there you guys are closed and that ghetto cardboard sign is taped to the door with a different excuse every week. The cardboard sign should get a raise he's there more frequently than the employees are!

My FAVORITE place to eat in Portland! If I'm in the area that's where I go! My husband stops in all the time for lunch. And I get so jealous! If you haven't tried this place you MUST!! Great homecooked meal with big servings! When we go with the kids I get them a half of serving!!

Doesn't look like much from the outside but they have really good steak and cheese hoagies.

The food here is so hearty and good. Definitely a thriving local business for a reason. The lunch specials come in a box exactly the size of your stomach. One of those meals you dont buy a bag of chips with because the bag of chips wont fit in your stomach lol.

I love punkys!! I only wish they had later hours so I could visit more often!

I’d always heard great things about the service and the general pricing points of the subs, soups and sandwiches at Punky’s, but I’d never heard anything about how the food actually tastes. After a few visits to give the place an honest shot at winning my patronage, it was more than obvious why I’d never heard a peep about taste, flavor or palatability whenever Punky’s was mentioned in a conversation about sandwich shops in Portland. It’s because there isn’t anything nice to say. The food is wholly unremarkable. I mean, it is just as bland and plain as can be. And yet, this place has been surviving for years. It’s confounding.To a degree, I guess the old adage “you get what you pay for” rings true here, but you’d just be better off not paying for anything at Punky’s and getting something somewhere else.

Best falafel I've ever had(and I've tried many good ones). I always get interested in trying their other offerings because they sound, look and smell phenomenal, but I always stick with the falafel. It's probably my favorite thing ever. When I'm in Portland for any reason, I always check to see if Punky's is open so I can get my falafel fix.

This place is a great little convenience stop for lunch! They've always got three or four items hot and ready to choose from. They packed these little plastic containers full enough that most people can get two meals out of it, for the about 8 bucks... They have a full sandwich menu, and I've yet to try it but my buddy had a steak and cheese the other day and it looked delicious! It had that nice soft roll with the crispy baked outside goodness 👍

The food was great and the service was fast. The seating could be better the tables were all dirty.
